In way too many adoptions, children are found for parents, not parents are found for children. As mentioned in a previous post-paper orphans are common.
In mine and many other cases, our parents returned for us after we were placed in an orphanage for lack of nutrition. And they didn’t find us.
Let’s sit with this injustice….what is gain for Adoptive parents is a loss for first families along with adoptees. Adoptees are lost in the mix.
In the end (especially the way i hear APs talk about their possession), it is all about what one pays that matters…..-between 5000 to 45000 for a child of their choosing.
This is hard to swallow.
